Privacy Policy - kpKICKS 2026 World Cup Prediction Game

 

With this privacy notice, Klöckner Pentaplast informs you, as an employee of one of the Klöckner Pentaplast companies, about the processing of your personal data in connection with your participation in the 2026 World Cup Prediction Game ("Prediction Game"). The Prediction Game is organized by Klöckner Pentaplast and the website www.wmkick.eu is used for these purposes. Your participation in the Prediction Game is entirely voluntarily. 

 

1.  Information about the Controller

The controller responsible for processing your personal data is the  Klöckner Pentaplast entity, that is specified in your employment contract (referred to as “Klöckner Pentaplast,” “we,” or “us"). If you have any questions about which Klöckner Pentaplast entity your employer is, please contact your HR Manager.

2.  Information about the Data Protection Officer

Klöckner Pentaplast Europe GmbH & Co. KG. has appointed a Data Protection Officer, whom you can also contact at kpfilms.dpo@fieldfisher-tech.com if you have any questions or concerns in connection the processing of your personal data when participating in the Prediction Game. 

 

3.  Categories of personal data

The following categories of personal data are processed when you decide to participate in the Prediction Game:  

  • First and last name 
  • Nickname
  • Company Email address or your private email address if you decide to create an account with your private email address
  • Technical information necessary for the website to be accessed such as information about your operating system, browser type and internet service provider and your IP address
  • Date and time of access
  • Prediction results

4.   Purpose and legal basis of processing

The processing is carried out exclusively for the purpose of conducting the Prediction Game. 

The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in fostering employee relationships and creating an enjoyable workplace. We will not use your personal data processed within the Prediction Game for any work performance related assessment. 

Our processing is not based on automated decision-making, including profiling. 

 

5.   Other recipients of your personal data 

Your personal data is shared within the Klöckner Pentaplast companies in order to declare a winner of the Prediction Game. 

In addition, Klöckner Pentaplast has engaged newclicks UG haftungsbeschränkt & Co. KG ("newclicks"). newclicks provides the website and environment for the Prediction Game and has access to your personal data. As a data processor, newclicks acts on our instructions with regard to the above mentioned processing activities. The necessary data processing agreement has been concluded.

6.  International Data Transfer 

Depending on where your employer is located (see Section 1), data may also be transferred to a third country. In addition, your personal data will be shared within the kp group of affiliates, which also has offices in the U.S. and the U.K., for the purpose of evaluating the Prediction Game. newsclick itself is based in Germany, so no data is transferred to a third country in this regard. We have implemented appropriate security measures to ensure that the personal data processed remains protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy. 7.  Security Measures

newclicks has implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. 

 

8.  Retention Period

Your personal data processed in connection with the Prediction Game will be deleted 3 months after the World Cup 2026.

 

9.  Your Data Protection Rights

You have the following data protection rights:

  • You have the right to request confirmation as to whether we process personal data relating to you and, if so, to obtain access to that personal data;
  • If your personal data stored by us is inaccurate or incomplete, you may request that this data be corrected or completed;
  • You may request the deletion of your personal data provided that no retention obligations prevent this; 
  • You may request the restriction of the processing of your personal data;
  • You have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data where the processing is based on our legitimate interests, unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms. 
  • You may receive the personal data you have provided in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format and have us transmit this data to another controller in accordance with Article 20 of the GDPR;
  • Finally, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority regarding our collection and use of your personal data.
